TLC was reborn in 2016, when Patrick Moran began redeveloping a landscape operation to achieve a core mission: fight climate change one property at a time. He set to building a team of passionate professionals who shared his passion for fostering beauty, function, and sustainability amongst our community.

Patrick proceeded to develop on his childhood passion for nature, gardening, and outdoor enhancements by studying climate change at Yale University and then continuing his education by obtaining several professional designations, including PMP, LEED Green Associate, Chesapeake Bay Landscape Professional (CBLP), Maryland Home Improvement Contractor, Class A Virginia Landscape Contractor, Class A Home Improvement Contractor, ICPI Permeable Hardscape Specialist, and others. He lends this technical knowledge to his passion for sustainability in approaching the work and projects that TLC takes on.

Since 2016, TLC has grown around a strong core team and a commitment to continuous improvement. In 2018, TLC rolled out sustainable maintenance operations by setting aside gasoline powered maintenance equipment and committing to Lithium-Ion EGO tools. In 2019, TLC Design team surpassed 10,000 sq ft of new permeable hardscapes and rain gardens installed, redirecting millions of gallons of stormwater across DC, Maryland, and Virginia.

In the future, TLC strives to vertically integrate its operation in order to better provide native plants, sustainable sourced materials, and composting of organic materials.

TLC is proud to have the opportunity to serve residential and commercial clients in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and Washington, DC. Our primary areas of operations are in Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax County.
